Required Competitions
Interview:
Contestants meet with our judges in a panel style Interview, and will be asked questions pertaining to family, school, personal values, community service, future goals, and what their plans are to promote their platform if they were to win the title. All contestants are judged on their personality, communication skills, contribution to their community, and their ability to hold conversations with others. The Judges want to get to know the girl! Show them who YOU are!
Personal Introduction:

Throughout ones year, she will speak to many people. Personal Introduction shows the Judges and Audience that the girl is not afraid to speak in front of a crowd. That she believes and trusts herself to uphold a speech to many. This Introduction should include the Contestants Name, Age(Optional for Ms./Ms. Elite Contestants), and a Fun Fact about Herself.
Model Of The Decades:

This portion of the competition is a favorite for many! Each Contestant gets to pick a decade, and style an outfit accordingly! For example, a girl may pick to do the 20s, and she may style herself to become a Flapper Girl. Get creative, and show your personality! And most importantly, HAVE FUN! The Judges will be looking for someone that is Confident, Energetic, and has Poise.
Gown:

The Gown Portion of the Competition is considered to be the most Elegant phase. While many believe Gown is all about the dress, we believe that what really makes the difference is the way the girl takes the stage. It is not always about who has the prettiest dress. Rather the Judges will be looking for grace, elegance, and poise. Girls in the Baby and Mini Miss Division are allowed to wear a dress that meets at knee level. Any ladies competing in the Young/Junior/Teen/Miss/Ms./and Ms. Elite Divisions are required to have a dress that is floor length.
Talent:

The Talent Portion of the Competition is only required for those that chose to compete for the CUSA Grand Talent Celebrity Title. At CUSA Mini Nationals, we see everything! From dancing and singing, to cooking, live art, and even showcasing photography, we believe that everyone has a talent. This is your chance to showcase it! Judges will be looking for someone who is confident in what she chooses to do, and executes it with all of her passion.
